Last year Barton on Humber OCC group set themselves a challenge of trying to break a world record. Unfortunately we arrived at the tale end so to speak. So this summer our challenge is 'Teddy Bear Glove Puppets'. They are looking to collect over 15,000 to break the world record.

We suggest that you use 4mm not 4.5mm needles

Now, can we just point out that only the bears will be counted in the challenge, but of course if you fancy a change they will still be found a good home.

Regarding sending them. If you are sending a mixed box of goodies to Kate as normal by all means pop them in, but as you can imagine Kate is unlikely to want them all sent to her. Can we suggest that you find a shoe box and pop in as many as you can then come September or before if it is full email [email protected] for an address. We do not want to put their address on here.

They all need to be there by the middle of September. So this challenge is only going to run until the end of August.

By the way they only take a couple of hours to knit even if you are a slow knitter.
