Here at Loving Hands we are happy to accept donations of yarn,
needles, patterns, toy stuffing, material, thread, lace trimmings, wedding and
bridesmaids dresses (to unpick and turn into burial gowns), blankets, duvets,
towels, bedding, baby clothes, cloth nappies, etc.
If you join us we do our best to supply you with some
of the
materials you need to create items for our charities. Our policy is that our
members give their time and talent to help us so we do not want to empty their
pockets as well :0)
Obviously with so many members it is not always possible to do this and most of the members do use their own supplies to keep them going. If we do send out a box of materials members usually contribute to the postage to get the box delivered.
To
make donations of materials send or take your items to Lou at our head
office - address on the contacts page. Or to your nearest local
Loving Hands Group - list of groups in the groups section on the forum.
If anyone would like to donate to our postage and materials fund you can do
so by Paypal to [email protected] or by
cheque or postal order made out to L. Jaap, we also raise funds
for postage through Easyfundraising - if you care to help this way register with
Easyfundraising and choose Loving Hands as the charity group you wish to
support. Then every time you shop online through the easyfundraising page with
loads of companies (including all the usual suspects Amazon, Ebay, Homebase,
Game, Premier Inn etc, etc, - there are thousands on there) a percentage of what
you spend comes to us at no extra cost to yourselves ;0) it really works and
has given us lots of extra income to make getting everything to where it is
needed so much easier.
Also if you are a fundraiser for another group who needs a similar boost -
if when you register with Easyfundraising for your own group you say you were
referred by Loving Hands we get a referal fee and a small percentage every time
your groups shops through them too;0).
We also have our wee furry critters 'HUGS' hand made by the Gaffer and available for adoption for Three Pounds - see the Give a HUG a Home section in the Fundraising part of our forum for details of how to buy one or two of these wee guys.
